Syracuse Lakeview Amphitheater

At O’Connell Electric Company, we are proud to have powered one of Central New York’s most transformative entertainment projects: the Syracuse Lakeview Amphitheater. Nestled along the western shore of Onondaga Lake in Geddes, NY, this 17,500-seat outdoor venue was designed to be both a cultural landmark and a catalyst for regional revitalization.

Our team was selected to deliver the complete electrical infrastructure for the amphitheater, working under subcontract to Gilbane Building Company. The scope of work included:

  • Installation of 15kV site-wide power systems and 600V distribution to outbuildings.
  • VIP and shore power systems to support high-end guest experiences and touring acts.
  • Fiber and copper cabling for communications and controls.
  • Full site lighting to enhance safety and ambiance.

The amphitheater also features a smaller 300-seat theater, a general service building for administration and security, and dedicated food and beverage facilities. Designed to blend naturally into the landscape while incorporating state-of-the-art technology, the venue is a cornerstone of Onondaga County’s broader initiative to rejuvenate the lakefront, the Village of Solvay, and the Town of Geddes.

From the debut performance by Miranda Lambert to its continued role as a regional entertainment hub, the Lakeview Amphitheater stands as a testament to what’s possible when vision meets execution—and O’Connell Electric is proud to have helped bring that vision to life.
