One of our standout projects in the sports and entertainment sector is the comprehensive lighting upgrade at Sahlen Field in Buffalo, NY—home of the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons.
This multi-phase project was driven by the need to meet the new Major League Baseball Player Development League facility standards. Our team removed and recycled eight existing upper pole sections and all fixture heads, replacing them with state-of-the-art LED lighting systems. Each fixture was pre-aimed and wired for optimal performance, and new control boxes were installed to support advanced lighting operations.
We also installed a Musco Master Communication Cabinet in the broadcast booth, paired with a new Elo touchscreen controller and remote antennas on each pole—enabling wireless control of the entire lighting system. The outfield poles, standing 126 feet tall and weighing approximately 2,500 pounds, and the infield poles, mounted to the stadium and weighing up to 8,000 pounds, were installed with precision using crane support and vehicle lane closures coordinated with the City of Buffalo.
This project not only elevated the stadium’s lighting quality but also ensured that Sahlen Field remains a premier venue for player training and fan experience in Western New York for years to come.
