The work at GA Braun involved a significant expansion of their manufacturing operations in Syracuse, NY. GA Braun designs and builds commercial laundry and textile equipment for markets across the globe.
The project included the installation of electrical infrastructure for a new building, which added an additional 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
Installation of 276 LED sealed light fixtures with network wireless switch controls.
Twelve work cell areas were each equipped with their own distribution system.
Installation of overhead rail cranes, emergency and exit lighting, as well as expanded parking lot lighting assemblies.
GA Braun took advantage of incentives available through National Grid and NYSERDA to upgrade their building lighting to LED technology. Through rebate programs and energy savings from the retrofit, their investment is expected to pay for itself in just over two years, with anticipated savings of nearly $40,000 per year in reduced energy consumption costs.
