Founded in 1911, O’Connell Electric Company is a full service electrical, power line and communications contractor headquartered in Upstate New York, serving New York State and surrounding regions of the northeast.
“We see a lot of potential in the eastern NY area which is why we seized an opportunity to expand our operations with a well-established organization,” Salerno explained. O’Connell will continue to operate out of the same building and keep all 25 current employees of Clifford R. Gray.
“We feel this is a wonderful opportunity for everyone and will continue to provide quality customer oriented service during and after the transition to O’Connell Electric is complete,” said Barbara Gray, President and wife of Clifford Gray who founded the company in 1959.
“It’s a great team that we look forward to becoming a part of the family at O’Connell Electric,” Salerno said. He expects to eventually grow the office in Albany to $25 million in revenue to contribute to the company goal of reaching $250 million in yearly revenue. “It is a big goal, but we are making smart moves and building a strong team and I think we will get to where we want to be in the next several years.”
